The very first action figure line that I ever bought and did not open at least some of the figures was the original Ren and Stimpy.  You can imagine how thrilled I am with the new line from Palisades, and I couldn't help but snag some pre-production stuff.

These first three photos show a sad Ren painted test shot.  This figure was a tour sample that I won in a Palisades drawing at one of the major shows.  He came with the pictured painted test shot accessories, along with the chair on the far right of the third picture.

The chair on the far left in the photo above is the production version (the far right is the test shot), but the one in the center is a 105% gypsum model, and you can tell in the photo that it's *slightly* larger than either the test shot or the production chair.

The next item is also a 105 gypsum model - Stimpy's litterbox.  Again, the actual production version is on the left.

This next one is my favorite Ren and Stimpy item - a 2 up tour sample of the Stimpy figure.  As you can see in the photo, it's twice the size of the production Stimpy, and made from resin.  Very cool!

When I shot the next item, I didn't have the actual production figure it was based on.  I'll update this photo at some point.  The Mr. Horse on the right is a very early test shot of the 'paranoid' varition of Mr. Horse.  That's why his jacket, shirt and tie are a different color, and his eyes are painted slightly differently than the regular production Mr. Horse on the right.  However, the weird blue color for his mane was never used on any production version, and he also has the cut swivel neck joint which was left off the production figures.

For the second series, they had lots of new logs planned.  Here are several one of a kind resin prototypes of these - first up is two shots of Log of Arabia; then my favorite, Visible Log; Log of Tomorrow; Cheerleader Log; and Baby Wet's Himself Log.  The second piece that comes with Visible Log would have been carved out and cast in clear plastic, so you could see his internal organs.
