LAST UPDATE - 5/30/05. One of those
collections that I have way more than I can ever
hope to display is Star Wars. I've bought way
too much of the stuff over the years, although I've
gotten much, much better in the last couple.
And so my Star Wars display is pretty light,
containing mostly sixth scale stuff. I
actually have a complete boxed collection of
12" Star Wars, but all of that is in
storage. Most of what's in the room is the
loose stuff, bought as seconds, especially on sale. This
first shelf is first because I shot it before
removing the figures and using it for something
new. That's a sure sign I've beaten the bug
on one particular collection - when it starts
losing shelf space. You might notice some of
these figures on other shelves in other shots
though, since some of them were just too cool to
end up in a box.
The image in back is a nifty Cheetos display
backer from AOTC. It runs the height of a
couple shelves. I have a ton of advertising
stuff for all kinds of licenses, since it's always
fascinated me.
I do have one set of shelves dedicated to the 3
3/4" lines of old and new. I don't buy
much vintage, but what I do have is sprinkled
through out the newer figures on this bookcase.

That's one of those silly early bird
specials laying on the floor in front. I
haven't quite figured out what to do with that one
yet. I've only bought the exclusives and the
12" stuff so far for Episode 3, and I'm staying
away from everything else.
There's some small areas throughout
the room with a handful of other SW items tucked
away, like this:

This is the big section of sixth
scale stuff, although there's a few other things
mixed in. These figures were all picked up
super clearance, since the first one I buy ends up
staying boxed. This is one of those weird
completist collections for me.

One
of my favorite sixth scale SW figures is the Marmit Boba
Fett, so he deserved his own photo:
While I might be doing well with the
figures, I'm not doing so well with a couple other
areas. There's these super cool .45 scale
sabers from Master Replicas, which I've picked up
all of so far...

And
then there's those damn mini-busts from Gentle
Giant. I'm missing two in my collection - the
regular first Vader (which doesn't pain me too much,
since I have the chrome version), and the Red
Clonetrooper. At the current price that he's
pulling down, I don't expect to ever add that one to
the collection, short of a lottery win.

I have a L shaped bar in my
basement, and at the center of this bar, right at
the 90 degree angle, is the Cinemacast version of
Darth Vader.
