Poison Ivy - 14" Resin Statue

The Warner Brothers Stores started carrying a line of 14" resin statues about a two years ago.  These statues are a lower cost alternative to things like the maquettes or the Bowen statues.  At a price point of $45, they are much more reasonably priced, and yet still very attractive.

The latest in this set is Poison Ivy.  She joins Batman, Robin, Batman Beyond, Catwoman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and is currently available at most WB stores.

The overall sculpting is quite attractive, particularly the work put into her beautiful hair, and the majority of the paint work is done very well.  I'd be careful though, and look at lots of faces before selecting - the eyes and lips can be a little off.  You'll also want to make sure that all the little edges on the ivy around her are free of chips.

Overall - ***
For $45, these statues are some of the better values available at the WB store.  Many of their other gallery items are higher cost, yet not nearly as nice.  If you're looking for nice superhero art, but you're on a budget, I'd highly recommend checking these out.

I was a little concerned about this particular choice of characters for the statue. One of the most important things is the pose, and I was afraid they wouldn't find something fitting for Ivy.  I was wrong - they did a very good job of selecting a pose that fits her personality.  She's a little anorexic, but not too bad, and the sculpting, while not of the level of quality of higher end statues, is still quite nice.
