Yamato Die Cast .45

The 1/6th scale market is booming, and the accuracy and detail are rising as I type this.  Who knows just how far the bar will go, but this die cast M1911 pistol is certainly a cut above most of the product out now.  The tiny .45 comes with two clips, and even has a spring loaded action!  Slide it back, just as you would to chamber that first round, and it pushes back the hammer.

I picked this up from Reasonable Collectibles for around $13 plus shipping.  That's the best deal I was able to find, and the folks there are always prompt and courteous.

On the down side, the hammer doesn't actually lock in place, and you can't pull any trigger.  The metal clips don't have the bullets showing at the top, something we've become accustomed to with Dragon and 21st Century weapons.

The details on this weapon are fantastic.  The checkered grips sport a little tiny Colt on either side, and the level of accuracy is excellent.  The die cast metal has a nice heft to it, and the sliding mechanism is smooth.

Overall - ****
If you have a Dragon Dave or Scott, this .45 will look fantastic in their hot little hands.  Thirteen bucks is expensive for a single accessory, but you aren't going to see this level of quality in your average weapon.
